Water is essential for a healthy body and mind. Drinking water throughout the day can help to keep our bodies feeling energized, alert, and ready to work and learn.

Promote School Meals During Online Learning
During extended school closures, school meals have moved out of the cafeteria and into the student’s home. Free breakfasts and lunches have been available to all students in Maryland since March 2020.

Be Active During Online Learning
Schools across Maryland are teaching online, or in some cases, in a hybrid environment. While the teaching environment is totally different, physical activity can continue to be a part of instruction.

Lakeland Elementary/Middle raised money for their school library by participating in healthy activities.

Students in Ms. Myers’ 2nd grade classroom traded in their “Bee Bucks” for real money to donate to the Maryland Food Bank.

Easy Peasy, Getting Your Lunch is Easy!
Maple Elementary created a lunch line system that placed students in line according to their entree lunch in order to get students through the lunch line in a more efficient manner.

A wellness hallway is a great way for students to take a minute to move and recharge their minds for learning.
