Indoor Recess
Indoor Recess
Indoor recess is a great way to get students active without going outside. Giving students activity time helps support students getting the recommended 60 minutes per day of activity while giving them a break from learning. Indoor recess can be done inside the classroom and does not take a lot of space or equipment to get activity.
- Create a list of indoor recess ideas to use when students are unable to go outside.
- Collaborate with another teacher to do team indoor recess.
- Incorporate indoor recess into your classroom schedule at least two times per week.
